Nepal Airlines airbus grounded in Delhi airport after bomb scare

A Nepal Airlines aircraft (flight No 206) bound to Kathmandu from New Delhi has been grounded at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday. The Indian aviation and security officers have halted the plane with passengers on board while it was about to take off on the ground of security. "The security officials have vacated the plane while a bomb disposal unit, sniffer dogs and fire extinguishers stand ready," a passenger Rupesh Rawal told Republica Online. "The security officials have kept the passengers at a safe distance from the plane. It is suspected that a bomb might have been planted inside the plane. However, the authorities have not said anything to us," Rawal added. 
Nepal Airlines Corporation is the flag carrier airline of Nepal. Its head office is in the Nepal Airlines Corporation Building in Kathmandu, and its main base is Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
