Easyjet plane forced to make emergency landing after drunk British passenger tries to open door at 30,000ft

The 180-seat Airbus A320 was forced to land in Bordeaux, France after the man who is believed to be British caused panic on board the aircraft

An Easyjet flight packed full of passengers was forced to make an emergency landing after a drunk man allegedly caused mayhem mid-flight.
The flight travelling from Marrakech, Morocco to Gatwick in London was forced to divert to France after the incident which was reportedly sparked by a British man believed to be in his 30's.
Witnesses say the man began downing spirits from duty free as soon as he boarded the flight.
And that following take-off he allegedly became rowdy, getting out of his seat and marching up and down the aisles of the plane.
When the man's girlfriend tried to intervene he then allegedly pushed her in front ofhorrified passengers.

Witnesses claim he continued with his rowdy behaviour going up to the aircraft's emergency door as fearful passengers attempted to intervene to restrain him.
The 180-seat Airbus A320 was forced to land in Bordeaux, France - 650 miles away from its final destination.
Upon landing at Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport, gendarmerie boarded the aircraft apparently blowing whistles and arrested him on the spot.
Joe Mortell, 26, of Cheltenham, told The Sun: “He dragged his feet all the way to the police car."
Another witness said: “He was drinking rum or whisky. Air crew took the bottle off him but it was too late.”
